Triesta Marble
recognized as the third most renowned limestone in Egypt, stands as a top-selling stone variant. Its quarries are strategically positioned across both the northern and southern regions of the Sinai Peninsula. Notably, the premier quality Triesta Marble blocks originate predominantly from the southern areas, ensuring distance from conflict zones. The procurement of large, flawless Triesta blocks proves challenging due to prevalent defects within many Sinai Pearl blocks. Available in two distinct hues – yellowish and grey – the yellowish variation of Triesta Marble surpasses the grey in prevalence.
- Sinai Pearl boasts several notable features:
- Exhibits anti-freezing properties, rendering it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
- Accommodates various finishes, including the highly popular polished finish, as well as the aesthetically pleasing honed finish.
- Can be brushed, soft and hard bush-hammered (sometimes followed by brushing for applications such as pool flooring, paving, and cladding).
- Options for acid-tumbled, split-face, sandblasted, and flamed finishes exist. However, not all Triesta Marble slabs are receptive to the flaming process; therefore, an acidulation process is often employed to enhance the effectiveness of flaming.
